Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Cross-Categorical) to support students with diverse learning needs in a structured academic environment. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction, promoting academic growth, and supporting students’ social and emotional development within inclusive classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction in a cross-categorical special education setting
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities
Required Qualifications
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with students with diverse disabilities
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Knowledge of cross-categorical special education practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Classroom management and behavioral support expertise
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs
