Responsibilities

• 
  Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students in a resource room setting.
  
• 
  Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  
• 
  Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
  
• 
  Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of goals and objectives.
  
• 
  Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
  
• 
  Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  
• 
  Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and success.
  

Requirements

• 
  Active Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification required.
  
• 
  Must hold certification/endorsement in:
  
  • 
    EI (Emotionally Impaired)
    
  • 
    LD (Learning Disabilities)
    
• 
  Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  
• 
  Previous school-based experience preferred.
  
• 
  Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
