Job Description:

Seeking a dedicated and student-centered High School Special Education Teacher, with additional certifications in math or science preferred. The candidate will provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades 912 while collaborating with general education teachers to ensure access to a rigorous curriculum and meaningful academic progress.

The candidate is required to support students with diverse learning needs while delivering instruction and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in an inclusive high school setting.

• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
• Teach high school math or science courses and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, case management activities, and professional collaboration.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Job Requirements:

• NJ DOE Teacher of Special Education
• Additional certification in Math or Science preferred

Hiring Salary Range:

$70,021- $84,688

Additional Employment Requirements:

• Approved criminal history background check for district 3710
• Pass the Trash approval
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Current residency in New Jersey or approved residency waiver, or candidate agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment.
