The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborating with families, teachers, and support staff to help students achieve academic and developmental goals. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned students.
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction.
Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Modify curriculum and instructional strategies based on student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
