Salary Range: Starting pay 50,000.00 (negotiable)
Pay increases based on experience.
Starting Date: 26-27 School Year

Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Full approval in at least one area of special education
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven successful experience in working with students with disabilities
- The ability to engage students actively and meaningfully in their learning
Responsibilities:- Must possess and demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional strategies that have been designed to benefit all students.
- Monitor and track the implementation of IEP goals, supplemental aides, services and supports.
- The teacher will serve as a primary contact for parents and legal guardians for their assigned caseload students.
- The teacher will assess student progress and determine the need for additional instructional support.
- The assigned teacher will use research-based instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives that are written into each student's IEP.
- The assigned teacher will provide direction, and supervision to the para educators that are assigned to work with students that are on their caseload.
- The teacher will comply with Board of Education policies and all state/federal rules and regulations.
- The teacher will provide other services as directed by the Executive Director of Student Support Services and the assigned building principal.
- The teacher will collaborate and consult with classroom teachers in order to meet the need of their assigned caseload students.
- The teacher will conduct special education evaluations and reevaluations.
