- The Richardson School is seeking a Special Education Teacher Leader to FLOAT between their Madison & Beloit campuses in the upcoming school year!
The Richardson School is an alternative placement option for local districts to access for their students with significant needs and behavioral concerns. Our students are typically diagnosed with a combination of developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders. The school calendar follows the typical 180 educational days with the opportunity to attend Extended School Year for students in need of this programming.

As a Special Education Teacher- Float, you will:
- Maintain and implement overall classroom lesson plans & IEP''s in a co-teaching structure
- Aid Instructional Coach in the development and implementation of each student''s crisis cycle and sensory profiles
- Act as Teacher Leader on campuses, providing additional mentorship to other teachers and staff
- Update progress towards IEP and participate as an IEP team member as needed
- Collaborate and lead Instructional Aides working in their classroom
- Be trained in our therapeutic approaches
- Assist to Lead a classroom during Teachers PTO/LOA''s
- Travel between our 2 campuses in the greater Milwaukee area, serving as a mentor/support to our Leadership teams and teachers at both schools
WAGES & BENEFITS:
- Hours: 8-4pm during the regular school year
- Schedule: Monday- Friday, following a traditional school calendar
- Salary Range: $54k- $71k starting; Final salary based on level of education + years of experience. Our teachers are paid year round/non-contract!

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Be certified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in one of the following licenses: Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830); General Educaiton Licensures are also welcome to apply!
- Experience working with individuals who display needs in the areas of autism, cognitive delays, EBD, mental health, and other related disabilities preferred
- Experience leading a committee or team preferred
