This is an incredible opportunity to work with middle and high school students who require intensive emotional and behavioral support in a collaborative, innovative, and therapeutic educational setting.

• Support students whose primary eligibility area is Emotional Disability
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies
• Monitor, evaluate, and assess student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Serve as the IEP Case Manager for assigned students
• Foster positive student growth using:
  • Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI)
  • Circle of Courage framework
  • Competency-based learning models
• Create individualized learning pathways tailored to student needs
• Promote a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff

Phoenix Academy is a highly specialized program operated under the direction of the Leyden Area Special Education Cooperative. The program serves middle and high school students whose emotional and behavioral needs require a more intensive level of support than available within their home districts.
