Special Education Teacher in Acton, CA

In this role, you will work with a small PreK caseload of approximately 5-6 students, dedicating your expertise to conducting thorough and insightful PreK assessments. You’ll play a vital part in identifying student needs and supporting their growth and development right from the start of their educational journey. Information regarding the end date and weekly working hours will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credential
• Experience in conducting early childhood or PreK assessments preferred
• Familiarity with Resource Specialist Program (RSP) environments
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate assessment results effectively
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with families and support services

Responsibilities:

• Complete PreK assessments for a caseload of 5-6 students
• Gather and analyze data to inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document findings and contribute recommendations for student support
• Liaise with educators, staff, and families to ensure student needs are identified and addressed
• Maintain compliance with school and state regulations
• Provide input to the special education team regarding best practices for early intervention
