Special Education Teacher in Aurora, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement (required)
• Prior experience teaching students with diverse learning needs is preferred
• Strong collaborative skills to work with general education teachers and support staff
• Flexibility and dedication to adapt instruction to individual student needs
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide both pullout and push-in special education services for approximately 10 students in grades 3-5
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address students' unique learning goals
• Track and report on student progress, collaborating with parents and teams to ensure ongoing growth
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet varied ability levels within the resource setting
• Foster a positive classroom community that celebrates individual strengths and promotes inclusion
