Special Education Teacher in Berkeley, CA

What We’re Seeking:

• Current and valid CTC licensure for Mild to Moderate Special Education (active status required)
• Passion for creating supportive, inclusive classroom experiences
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school teams
• Experience managing caseloads or working with upper elementary/middle school students preferred
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (35–37.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective, individualized education plans in partnership with school staff
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with mild to moderate disabilities
• Track and document student progress using data-driven approaches
• Foster an encouraging atmosphere that empowers students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally
• Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and school leaders
