Key Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) license required
- Previous experience as a special education teacher or in an early childhood setting is highly valued
- Strong skills in managing classroom routines and supporting paraprofessionals
- Confidence in serving as both a lead teacher and a service provider/case manager
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Role Overview:- Serve as the lead special education teacher for both morning and afternoon preschool sessions (up to 18 students per session)
- Provide direct instruction and intervention for a maximum of 10 students qualifying for ECSE services
- Collaborate on site with two paraprofessionals, an occupational therapist, and a speech-language pathologist
- Maintain all necessary records for case management and compliance
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, adapting curriculum and learning activities to meet each child's unique needs
- Ensure smooth daily classroom operations, engaging actively with families and multidisciplinary teams
This role is fully onsite, based at a welcoming and well-resourced preschool facility. You'll have reliable hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, allowing you to engage consistently with your students and teammates.
