Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Missouri Special Education Teacher credentials
- Background working with K-12 students in either a self-contained or resource environment
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to manage general special education responsibilities, including classroom instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff and families
- Commitment to a growth mindset and maintaining a positive, solution-focused attitude
- Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to supporting students
Responsibilities:- Provide instructional support and adapted curriculum to K-12 students on assigned caseload
- Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to implement accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment promoting academic and social-emotional growth
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing school initiatives
