Make an impact in the classroom as an experienced Special Education Teacher during the 2026-2027 academic year in the Phoenix area. This long-term contract opportunity supports a respected district seeking passionate professionals for a variety of special education teaching positions, including self-contained and resource roles at the preschool, elementary, and junior high school levels. Openings focus on supporting students in cross-category academic programs, Autism-specific classrooms, and resource settings. Assignments are all onsite; certain part-time roles may be combined for full-time hours based on scheduling and preference.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Educator Certification
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in schools
- Expertise with self-contained or resource special education environments preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs
- Flexibility to work at multiple sites or combine part-time placements
Duties & Responsibilities:- Deliver instruction and related services in accordance with IEPs, curriculum standards, and district guidelines
- Assess, document, and communicate student progress and needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general educators, therapists, and families
- Provide academic and behavioral support tailored to each student
- Engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet a spectrum of disabilities
