Duties

Peotone CUSD 207U is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher at Peotone Junior High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Interested applicants should apply online or contact Mrs.Crystal Johnson, Director of Student Services, at cjohnson@peotoneschools.org.

Terms of Employment:

183 Day Contract

13 Sick Days

2 Personal Days

Starting salary 2026-2027: BA ($45,428); MA ($49,921); MA+15 ($51,239); MA+30 ($52,560) + based on education and experience. Annual salary is regionally competitive with consideration of previous, relevant teaching experience. Peotone CUSD 207U Board of Education pays the full employee share of pension contributions (TRS 9%), 100% of the health insurance costs for the employee, and provides a $50,000 life insurance policy.
