Job Title: Special Education Teacher Resource & Self-Contained

Schedule: Full-time, school-based

Pay Rate:Starting at $40/hour (dependent on experience)
Position Overview
Birch Agency is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for 2 openings in a school-based setting in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Two opportunities are currently available:

• 
  1 Resource Special Education Teacher Provide specialized academic instruction and support to students in a resource setting.
  
• 
  1 Self-Contained Special Education Teacher Provide individualized instruction and support in a self-contained classroom.
  

Both positions offer the opportunity to work closely with students, school staff, and families to support academic growth and student success.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Provide specialized instruction based on students' individual needs and IEP goals.
  
• 
  Develop and implement differentiated lessons, accommodations, and modifications.
  
• 
  Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  
• 
  Implement effective classroom management and positive behavior support strategies.
  
• 
  Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and related service providers.
  
• 
  Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, professional development, and other school activities.
  
• 
  Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and district special education requirements.
  

Qualifications

• 
  Valid North Carolina Exceptional Children/Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  
• 
  Experience working in resource and/or self-contained special education settings is a plus
  
• 
  Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills.
  
• 
  Ability to develop and implement effective IEP-based instruction.
  
• 
  Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  
• 
  Ability to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs.

  Full-time, school-based positions in Kannapolis, NC.
