Twin Lakes #4 School District is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to join our team at Lakewood School, a single-school district serving students in grades 4K-8. This position would focus on our youngest learners, with the majority being in 3K-2nd grade.

Position Summary
The Special Education Teacher provides specially designed instruction (SDI) and case management services to students with diverse learning needs. This role emphasizes inclusive practices, collaboration with general education staff, and data-driven decision-making to support student access, engagement, and growth within the least restrictive environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide targeted instruction and interventions aligned to student goals
- Deliver services through a continuum of supports, including push-in and small group instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure access to grade-level curriculum
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction
- Conduct or support evaluations and participate in IEP and problem-solving meetings
- Develop and implement supports for academic, behavioral, and functional needs
- Collaborate with related service providers (SLP, OT, PT, etc.)
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and supports
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Support paraprofessionals and contribute to a positive, team-based environment
- Participate in MTSS, PLCs, and ongoing professional learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Wisconsin teaching certification in Cross-Categorical Special Education (or ability to obtain)
- MANDT training or willingness to complete (preferred)
