Qualifications: Valid Indiana Special Education Teaching License, and Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Positive Behavior Instruction and Support, special education principles, theories, testing, methods, etc., as well as proven methods of maximizing the educational experience of students with diverse learning needs. Knowledge of data information systems, analysis, and formulation of action plans, applicable federal and state laws regarding special education and students. Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work, communicate effectively with students and parents, engage in self-evaluation about performance and professional growth, as well as the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Experience: Successful prior special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels and knowledge of the Indiana IEP Program preferred.
