Newburyport High School is looking for a long term substitute Special Education Teacher to provide instruction to individual and small groups of students.

Special Education Teacher

Newburyport High School is seeking a licensed special educator who is able to:

Prepare lesson plans that reflect Massachusetts' curriculum frameworks and individualizes instruction based on student needs. Designs, modifies and/or selects instructional materials and strategies appropriate to individual student needs. Employs differentiated instruction using a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media and materials. Ability to collaborate and co-teach various subject areas. Oversee one or more sections of academic support class. Strong communication skills. Act as the liaison to a caseload of students and their families. Experience in administering educational testing and writing IEP's. A current DESE license in moderate disabilities preferred
