Position Summary: The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work as a Lead Special Education Teacher, Long Term Sub
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing academic and behavioral programming for students in collaboration with other members of the team Recording and summarizing data
- Conducting comprehensive student evaluations for three year evaluations and progress monitoring Progress reporting and IEP writing
- Meeting regularly and consulting with team members Coordinating therapies (OT, PT, Speech and Language) Modifying general education curriculum/expectations to meet student's needs and skill level to insure successful inclusion experiences
- Actively providing training, supervision and feedback to program staff
- Working closely with all team members and building staff and administration.
- Communicating with families and home service providers
Qualifications include:
- Masters degree
- Massachusetts DESE License as Moderate or Severe Special Needs License with Autism Endorsement
- BCBA strongly preferred
- Autism Endorsement
- Experience with children with Autism is required Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful and have a strong desire to work with elementary age children Familiarity and training with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis required
