Special Education Teacher - Long-term Substitute - WEC

Intermediate District 287 is looking for a long-term Substitute Special Education Teacher licensed in ASD or EBD at our West Education Center in Minnetonka, MN!

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Position Details:

Location: West Education Center in Minnetonka, MN

FTE: 1.0 FTE

Work Schedule: This is a temporary position expected first day of school through mid-December 2026.

Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $34.88 - $69.19 per hour (depending on experience and education) This is a temporary position that is not eligible for all benefits

Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
• Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university
• Current teaching license in ASD or EBD or a valid license in another subject area & willing to get an Out of Field license
