Deliver specialized math instruction to students in a self-contained special education classroom.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student success.
Differentiate instruction based on each student's academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques to foster student growth.
Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations.
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
Hours: Full-time (Monday Friday)
Location: Washington, D.C.
Caseload: Self-Contained Special Education Math Classroom
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education (required)
DC license not required
Experience teaching students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom (preferred)
Strong knowledge of math instruction, IEP development, and behavior management strategies
Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
