Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.
Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student's academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
Adapt curriculum materials, instructional strategies, and classroom accommodations.
Implement evidence-based instructional practices and positive behavior support strategies.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to promote student success.
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education, Special Education, or a related field required.
Active Florida Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teaching Certification required (or eligibility to obtain).
Previous experience working with students with diverse learning, developmental, or behavioral needs preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and special education compliance.
Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential.
