Position Overview:
- Provide specialized instruction in a functional skills classroom, using individualized strategies to support students' academic, behavioral, and life skills development.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including instructional goals, accommodations, progress monitoring, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to coordinate services and promote student success across educational settings.
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment using evidence-based instructional practices and positive behavior support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement (e.g., Special Education Comprehensive or Interventionist)
- Experience supporting students with disabilities, including those with behavioral and/or emotional needs, preferred
