West Boylston Public Schools is seeking a Middle/High School Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades 5-12. This role focuses on ensuring access to the general education curriculum, supporting academic achievement, and fostering independence through inclusive practices, co-teaching, and targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs
Provide direct instruction in both inclusion (co-teaching) and pull-out settings
Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, instruction, and assessments
Deliver small-group and individualized instruction to support skill development and IEP goals
Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and inform instruction
Support students' academic, organizational, and executive functioning skills
Implement accommodations and modifications to ensure access to learning
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
