Position: Special Education Teacher

Location:Stacy Middle School

Schedule:2026-2027 School Year

Salary:Per Teachers' Contract

To Start:August 2026 (plus two mentoring days on 8/18-8/19)

Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher License - Certified in Moderate and/or Severe Special Needs with SEI endorsement Knowledge and experience with Curriculum Frameworks of Portfolio Assessments Experience administering MCAS Experience administering and interpreting diagnostic assessments Experienced administering evaluations Experience working with students with social-emotional disabilities Middle School experience preferred

Responsibilities: Serve as liaison for students on caseload Develop and modify curriculum and curriculum materials for each student Co-teach and/or teach small-group classroom instruction Supervise assistants in the classroom Complete evaluations and reports for initial and re-evaluation of students Collect and analyze data, and develop data collection and analysis protocols, to measure student progress and program performance Write IEPs and progress reports Facilitate annual review meetings according to regulations and timelines Participate in Special Education team meetings, 504 team meetings, pre-referral meetings, guidance meetings and other meetings related to student case-management and program development, as needed Attend department meetings, faculty meetings, and community meetings
