The Evergreen Center is a private non-profit organization that provides living and learning environments for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. The Evergreen Center welcomes all individuals from various backgrounds and experiences through cultural equity, inclusion, and diversity.

Evergreen Center is seeking a bright and energetic Special Education Teacher who is responsible for direct instruction and curriculum design to a small cohort of 7-8 students. Within the classroom, the teacher works closely with other special educators, behavior analysts, and paraprofessionals to support students with significant educational and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completion of educational assessments necessary to develop Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives for students
  • Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in the development of the IEP to meet educational programming goals for students
  • Development of materials and instructional methodology necessary to meet identified goals
  • Completion of quarterly progress monitoring reports
  • The supervision and training of instructors in the implementation of educational programming

  • Bachelor''s degree (required)
  • Experience in caring for persons with developmental disabilities (preferred)
  • Master's degree and Special education licensure (preferred)
