We are currently seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers (LBS1) for the 2026–2027 school year in Mokena, IL. Positions Open

Position 1

• Kindergarten–2nd Grade
• Self-Contained Classroom
• Supported by 2–3 Paraprofessionals

Position 2

• 4th–5th Grade
• Self-Contained Classroom
• Supported by 2–3 Paraprofessionals

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in a self-contained special education classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, general education staff, and families to support student success.
• Differentiate instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Active Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) Endorsement
• Experience in a self-contained special education setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills.
