Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' unique needs.
Deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies.
Adapt curriculum, instructional methods, and assessments to support diverse learners.
Implement positive behavior interventions and classroom management strategies.
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation and compliance records.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, independence, and social-emotional growth.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
Active South Carolina Special Education certification required or eligibility to obtain certification.
Experience working with students with autism, behavioral needs, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, or hearing impairments preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, special education compliance, differentiated instruction, and behavior management practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
School-based settings serving students across various grade levels.
