• Position: Special Education Teacher (LBS1)

• School Year: August 5, 2026 – June 2, 2027

• Location: Arlington Heights, IL

• Schedule:

  • Monday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM

  • Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM

About the Role

This position serves a combined 3rd and 4th grade therapeutic day school classroom supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. The classroom maintains a small caseload of 7–10 students, allowing for individualized instruction and meaningful relationships.

One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is the built-in collaborative support. The classroom teacher partners directly with a dedicated school social worker and is supported by 1–2 classroom aides, creating a strong team environment focused on student growth and success.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• LBS1 Endorsement
