Elementary/Middle School Level: Grades K - 8

NJ Department of Education Certification Required

• Teacher of the Handicapped or
• Elementary K-8 or K-6 certificate plus Students with Disabilities certification or
• Preschool - Grade 3 certificate plus Students with Disabilities certification or
• qualify for certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program

Qualifications:

• Holder of a Certificate of Eligibility instructional certificate must complete the 50 hour pre-professional experience as required by the NJ Department of Education
• Demonstrates ability to implement an IEP effectively
• Demonstrates knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
