Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time opportunities in the Cerritos area for the 2026-2027 school year. Openings are available across a variety of special education settings, including Resource Specialist Program (RSP), Special Day Class (SDC), Mild to Moderate Support Needs, and Extensive Support Needs classrooms.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, social, and functional goals.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and behavior management strategies to foster student growth and independence.
Qualifications
- Valid California Education Specialist Teaching Credential
- Experience in RSP, SDC, Mild/Moderate, or Extensive Support Needs settings preferred
- Knowledge of California special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
