Job Title: Special Education Teacher Location: The Day School at The Children’s Institute, 1405 Shady Avenue, Squirrel Hill, PA 15217 Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is full-time position that follows a traditional school year schedule. About the Team The Day School is an approved private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Private Academic Schools and approved as a special education school by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Families and school districts alike have connected with our expert educational team to bring specialized education and related services, including autism support and multiple disabilities support, to nearly 200 students from 60+ school districts across western Pennsylvania each year. About the Position The Special Education Teacher is responsible for collaborating with the classroom team, behavioral specialists, occupational, speech, and physical therapists, school districts, and families to develop, implement, and monitor effective, individualized academic and behavioral programming for students.
