Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid California teaching credential authorizing Special Education instruction
- Experience working with students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Enthusiastic collaborator who thrives on teamwork with school staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, encouraging, and positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges
- Work closely with general education teachers to support classroom inclusion and access
- Monitor student progress, providing targeted instruction and intervention as needed
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with students, families, and staff to support student development
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to holistic student planning and care
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping and compliance documentation
