Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related field; Master's degree preferred
- Active California teaching credential authorizing Special Education
- Demonstrated experience teaching students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing, positive classroom atmosphere
- Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:- Design and execute effective, individualized education plans (IEPs) to drive student growth
- Partner with general education staff to promote inclusive practices
- Deliver direct instruction and targeted support for students with a range of disabilities
- Continually assess progress, adapting learning strategies to meet individual needs
- Facilitate open communication among parents, colleagues, and support staff
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and compliance documentation
- Maintain meticulous records for accurate reporting and progress tracking
