If you are looking for an exciting, challenging opportunity to grow your career, don't wait apply today to make Team CCIU even stronger tomorrow!Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education required3-5 years experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, autism and significant challenging behavior strongly preferredPDE certification in Special Education requiredExperience with modifying general education content to meet the diverse needs of students requiredPrior experience working with students in an extended school year teaching position preferredCurrent police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearancesClearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire) Duties & Responsibilities:Instruct individuals in special education skill areasPlan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methodsEvaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behaviorSupport objectives and interventions of the educational programMaintain safe physical environment of the classroomMaintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progressDevelop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of studentsPrepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required.
