Job Details Special Education Teacher

Duties • Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning for students with disabilities. • Experience with co-teaching, providing reading and math interventions, progress monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents. • Provides responsive, rigorous, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful. • Participates in collaborative curriculum design. • Creates a positive classroom environment. • Exhibits flexibility, initiative, and creativity. • Possesses strong classroom management skills. • Uses student learning data to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and design IEP goals. • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. • Ensures that each students goals and objectives are addressed. • Maintains and updates special education records for accuracy and compliance. • Collaborates with administration, general education teachers, and related service providers. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Current Professional Educator License LBS 1. Must be able to pass a background check. Previous experience is a plus but not required.
Salary and Benefits BASED ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PER THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT A teacher with no experience and a bachelors degree would receive a base salary of $41,627. We also offer a $3,000 cash option or you can take health insurance that will be covered at 100% ($10,000). Life insurance with the option for voluntary additional. Total TRS reportable would be $49,040.65. We offer 15 sick days and 2 personal days.
