We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for students in the Bridges Program which is designed to help students transition from high school to the adult world. It provides individualized services that connect students and parents to supports and opportunities aimed at building skills, self-advocacy, and independence. Earning ($30-$45/hour) to support students with disabilities in the Colorado Springs area for the 2026/27 school year. Job Details:
  • Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
  • Setting: Transitions Program - 18 to 21 year olds
  • School Year: August 10th, 2026-May 26th, 2027

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct/indirect instructional support in a positive, structured learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods (e.g., multi-sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with parents, administrators, and related service providers
  • Modify curricula and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social-emotional, and functional growth
  • Teach socially acceptable behaviors using positive behavioral support systems
  • Monitor progress and communicate regularly with families to align priorities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Colorado Special Education License
