As a Special Education Teacher in Villa Park, IL your days will include: 

  • Provide individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth
  • Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school staff to support student success
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary team members
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavior management strategies
 
Job Details
  • Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
  • Hours: Full-time (Monday - Friday), 35 hours per week
  • Caseload: Resource/co-teaching model working with elementary age students (approximately 15 students)
 
Successful Candidates Possess
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement required
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply with appropriate licensure
  • Ability to work onsite (virtual or hybrid candidates are not eligible)
  • The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
