Special Education Inclusion Teacher

Location: Washington, DC
Pay Rate: $40 and up based on experience

As a School-Based Special Education Inclusion Teacher in Washington, DC, you will:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, modify instruction, and implement accommodations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure student progress.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet each student's academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

  • Monitor student performance, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IDEA and district regulations.

  • Build positive relationships with students, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.

  • Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field

  • Experience working with students with disabilities in an inclusion setting preferred

  • Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based instructional practices

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
