    Role Description This full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role is located in Wyoming, RI. The Special Education Teacher will plan, deliver, and adapt instruction for students with diverse learning needs in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and district guidelines. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, developing and updating IEPs, and collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student goals. The educator will implement evidence-based interventions, accommodations, and behavioral supports, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. The role also involves participating in IEP meetings, engaging in professional development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture.\n

    • Possess appropriate state certification or licensure in Special Education and meet all requirements to teach in a public school setting.
    • \n
    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications for students with a range of disabilities.
    • \n
    • Strong skills in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs, including assessment, goal setting, progress tracking, and compliance documentation.
    • \n
    • Effective classroom management and behavior support skills, with experience using positive, proactive strategies to create an inclusive learning environment.
    • \n
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and related service providers.
    • \n
    • Ability to use educational technology and data to inform instruction and support student learning.
    • \n
    • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field required; Master’s degree or additional endorsements in related areas are preferred.
    • \n
    • Experience in a school-based special education setting and familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and relevant state regulations are highly beneficial.
