Job Description:

Tutor Doctor SWNGS (Shrewsbury, Westborough, Northborough, Grafton, Southborough) provides one-to-one in-home tutoring customized to the unique needs of each student. Our flexible schedule, generous hourly rates and wonderful families make earning extra income rewarding. • Our Tutor Doctor team does all the student recruiting and then provides a steady stream of students.
• Our Education Consultant conducts consultations with every family, so they develop an academic plan that identifies expectations for what the student(s) need help with- this ensures you are set up for success!

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one tutoring in ELA, MATH and other subjects as needed

• Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student

• Work with students who may have IEPs, 504 plans, or other special learning accommodations

• Create personalized lesson plans that align with students' school curriculum and goals

• Use hands-on activities, visuals, and other multi-sensory strategies to reinforce concepts

• Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and the Tutor Doctor team

• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field 

• At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Science, preferably with students who have special needs

• Familiarity with elementary, middle and high school curriculum

• Knowledge of special education strategies and accommodations (IEPs, 504s)

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Reliable transportation for in-home sessions
