Special Event Bartender / Off-site Catering Bartender

Harvest Moon Catering (HMC) relies on Event Bartenders to deliver exceptional service, manage bar operations efficiently, and collaborate with the service team to execute the client's vision. 

Key Job Functions
- Bar Setup & Breakdown: Arrange bar areas according to room schematics and event timelines. Clean, consolidate products, and load trucks post-event. 
- Service Execution: Maintain knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, and wine. Provide wine service and assist with plated dinners as needed. Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment
- Team Collaboration: Follow Catering Captain and Bar Captain instructions. Help servers and communicate inventory levels to management. 
- Guest Interaction: Communicate professionally, and maintain a welcoming, calm attitude under pressure.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Wine Knowledge: Understand basic wine varietals and standard wine service etiquette.
- Cocktail Crafting: Know basic cocktail recipes and use a jigger for exact pours.
- Quality Control: Maintain consistency and portion control across all event drinks
- Skills: Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) and basic computer skills with the ability to navigate the internet
- Technology: Must own a smartphone to set availability, receive schedule, schedule changes, and communication by staffing director.
- Sidework: Ability to set bar tables, linens, bar inventory, and break down efficiently. 
- Physical Demands: Stand, walk, reach, and crouch for over 8 hours. Lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly.
