Title: Special Investigation Unit Investigator II
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Compensation
Pay Range: $43.29-$48.29 Per HR
Description
This role involves conducting complex investigations into potential healthcare fraud and abuse in a contract setting in Los Angeles, CA.
The position requires expertise in data analysis and investigative techniques, and the ability to mentor junior staff.
Candidates should have experience with general office software.
Perform in-depth evaluations of potential fraud and abuse cases.
Develop complex investigations involving high dollar amounts and sensitive issues.
Lead on-site audits and provide hands-on training in investigative techniques.
Conduct investigation-related training and act as a mentor.
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintain and compile investigation documentation.
Engage with industry meetings and trainings to stay updated on trends.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate allegations and complex issues related to healthcare fraud.
Utilize data analytics to detect unusual billing patterns.
Write comprehensive reports documenting interviews and findings.
Participate in hearings and testify in court proceedings.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare fraud investigation.
Experience conducting fact-finding interviews and managing large data sets.
Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred certifications: AHFI, CFE, CPC.
