About the Role:
As a Special Needs Paraprofessional at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Join our dedicated team in Lawrenceville, GA, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children every day!
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing goals for students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs in classroom settings.
- Facilitate communication between students and peers to promote social skills.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior throughout the day.
- Help with daily living skills and personal care as needed.
- Collaborate with educational staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
