Tesla is seeking elite field technicians to join our Special Ops Team-a high-performance unit dedicated to troubleshooting, maintaining, and deploying Tesla s mobile Supercharger stations and Mobile Megapack systems. This is not a routine job. You ll be on the front lines of Tesla s energy infrastructure-diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues in real-world field environments, often with short notice and zero margin for error.
This role is 80% travel. You ll be deployed across the U.S. and globally, supporting critical operations from remote sites to urban hubs. Holiday work is required as you ll be part of the team that keeps Tesla s systems running when it matters most. Troubleshoot and repair mobile Supercharger stations (480VAC systems) in the field diagnosing faults in power distribution, control systems, and DC fast charging components
Diagnose and resolve issues with Mobile Megapack systems including battery modules, inverters, cooling, and control electronics
Use schematics, test equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, isolation meters), and digital tools to identify root causes quickly and perform safety critical tasks: LOTO, grounding, hazard assessment, and isolation procedures
Conduct system commissioning, testing, and validation after repairs or deployments
Maintain accurate work logs, case reports, and as-built documentation via Tesla's field platform
Support rapid deployment teams across the U.S. and globally often with short notice travel
Operate Tesla issued vehicles, tools, and mobile workstations with precision
1-4+ years of electrical trades experience with 480VAC systems (industrial, commercial, or mobile)
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and interpret schematics and experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, isolation meters, and field diagnostics
CPR + Low Voltage Rescue certification. Reach Forklift, Boom Lift, Manlift, or similar certification
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. frequently, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks in extreme conditions
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, cloud-based platforms, Tesla internal tools
Willingness and ability to travel 80% of the time for up to 2 weeks at a time, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Valid driver's license & government-issued ID
Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the task at hand completed is highly preferred. High initiative, adaptability, and resilience-able to work independently and in fast-moving team

Associate Technical Construction Project Manager - $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary
Technical Construction Project Manager - $108,000 - $162,000/annual salary

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
