Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Technologist. As IR/Special Procedures Tech, you will assist with all procedures in the interventional radiology lab including scrubbing, circulating, recording and monitoring patient. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • You will evaluate patient's response to Plan of Care, communicate to members of the health care team and implement necessary changes to care.
  • You will record relevant data on patient record to provide an accurate reflection of the patient care received.
  • You will be able to set up and successfully record right and left hear pressures, recognize pressures by waveform, analyze and record values on patient chart.
  • You will participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively affect overall patient experience.

 Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technology and/or ARRT IR certification and/or RCIS with IR experience
  • State of Florida professional license or certification and ARRT Interventional Radiology credential
  • Current BLS(Basic Life Support) required
  • Current ACLS(Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
    New hire/transfer into higher skill level must obtain within 6 months. Required to work under ACLS credentialed IR tech until training certificate obtained. New hire/transfer into higher skill level must obtain within 6 months.   • Two years’ experience in licensed field and one year of Interventional Radiology experience.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
