A Special Procedures Technologist opportunity is available at a 234-bed comprehensive acute care facility in Hermitage, TN — an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center offering cardiology, emergency, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and women's services.

The role. In this position, you will scrub and assist interventional physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies, maintaining a sterile field and sterile tray setup throughout each procedure. You will administer contrast media according to age- and weight-specific guidelines, demonstrate working knowledge of drugs including their actions, side effects, and contraindications, and establish and maintain IV access as needed. Case documentation is completed in Meditech, with image verification in PACS and proper measurement and disposal of radioactive waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines. The role also requires the ability to monitor hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings during procedures.

What we're looking for.
  • Current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)]
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or EP Lab required
  • BLS certification required
  • Completion of ACLS training within six months of hire
  • Neuro experience preferred
  • Willingness to cover rotating call schedule and cross train in cardiac cath lab
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees

Schedule. Full-time, Monday through Friday on four 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), with rotating weekend and call coverage averaging 8–10 call days per month.

Compensation. $30.73 - $46.09/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
