This role is responsible for developing, validating, and improving specialized manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working cross-functionally to enhance manufacturing performance, process reliability, and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and maintain special manufacturing processes to meet quality and regulatory requirementsCreate and manage process documentation, including specifications, standard operating procedures, and quality recordsInvestigate process issues and non-conformances using root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action methodologiesUtilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools to improve process capability, efficiency, and yieldConduct risk assessments such as PFMEA and implement mitigation plansSupport compliance with industry and quality standards, including AS9100, NADCAP, ISO, OSHA, and EPA requirementsParticipate in internal, customer, and regulatory auditsSupport tooling, equipment evaluation, maintenance, and process upgradesCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to drive operational excellenceContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operationsQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environmentAerospace industry experience is preferred but not requiredTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of special manufacturing processes such as:Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)Heat TreatWeldingPlating and CoatingExperience with SPC, process improvement methodologies, and data-driven decision makingFamiliarity with quality and regulatory standards including AS9100, NADCAP, and ISOAbility to interpret technical specifications and process documentationTravelPotential travel between Grand Prairie, TX, Mexicali, Mexico, and other locations up to 10–20%.Company Description Dragonfly Recruiting was founded with a vision to revolutionize the staffing industry.
