Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Special Programs and Services Officer (Part-Time) in the Police Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision of sworn law enforcement administrator, serves as a sworn law enforcement officer of Special Programs and Services with responsibility for facilitating all enforcement actions with probationers, making probable cause arrests, and performing related duties as assigned.
VACANCY INFORMATION:
The person in this position will supervise probationers and pre-trial releasees, promoting accountability and rehabilitation while supporting community safety. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, investigations, managing pre-trial and probation cases, administering DART (Drug and Alcohol Random Testing), and maintaining detailed case files.

From date of hire, new employee are credited with a minimum of 18 days* of PTO. After their first anniversary, employees will begin accruing PTO monthly as follows:

Sixth year through twelfth calendar years of service - 20.59 hours per month
Thirteenth calendar year of service and beyond - 23.75 hours per month
