The Special Project Department is seeking a Plumbing Trainee who will work with, learn, and oversee numerous system parts and mechanisms. Our designers and draftsmen provide detailed prints that our foremen use to get the work done on time and according to plan. Trainees will also work with other IT Landes install mechanics.

Primary Duties:
- Performing various commercial plumbing install related jobs on our commercial job sites
- Work alongside site foreman
- Ensure work areas are cleared of tools and debris during and after job completion
- Some experience doing this type of work is helpful but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person.
Qualifications:
- Ability to complete assigned work according to specifications
- To ability to work independently and as part of a team
- To bend, stoop and lift 50 lbs.
- Mechanical abilities
- Must be able to work with and possess basic hand tools

Additional Skills Required:
- Able to read and understand equipment installation and operation manuals, specification and submittal sheets
- General understanding of safety practices and guidelines
- Basic understanding of installation and functions of plumbing systems
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions to improve understanding of plumbing systems
- Ability to assist mechanics with material handling, tool setup, and basic installation support
- Comfortable working in active construction environments, including confined spaces and variable conditions
- Eagerness to develop trade knowledge through hands on experience and mentorship
- Strong work ethic with a dependable, safety first mindset and a team oriented attitude
